24HR Catfish Challenge Tournament Cancelled

Due to weather conditions the 24 Hour Catfish Challenge fishing tournament has been cancelled.

To all Town of Weldon and U.S. 301 Property/Business Owners:

The Town of Weldon is joining the Halifax County Convention and Visitor's Bureau to expand the Hwy 301 Endless Yard Sale which will take place on June 19 & 20, 2015. The event is patterned after the long established 127 World's Longest Yard Sale and inspired by the HGTV television show that will allow communities along U.S. Hwy. 301 to showcase antiques, collectibles, crafts and more along a 100 mile stretch of highway between Kenly, NC and Weldon, NC.

The concept of the sale is to pull people off the interstate and back into the small towns of NC. The event encourages businesses and residents to participate by having yard sales, sidewalk sales and special promotions for a continuous stretch from one end of the sale route to the other. Once established, the end result is lots of fun for vendors and shoppers alike.

This presents an opportunity for you as a business and/or property owner in Weldon. I am trying to compile a list of those of you that would like to participate so I can steer vendors and shoppers your way. Currently, the Town of Weldon will have vendor spaces available in River Falls Park and Riverside Mill will do the same in their parking lot.

I am the Town of Weldon contact for the event so please let me know if you plan to participate by completing the enclosed form. I will then forward your location to the Halifax County Convention and Visitors to add to the online map.

I hope you will participate in this event and if you have any questions, please call me at (252) 536-4836 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Yours truly,
